Jupiter – a fun granny square pattern to celebrate Granny Square Day 2019
Granny square day coincides with my Independence Day so
celebrate both occasions I have created this simple 7’’ square with some
texture which includes post and reverse stitches. I have decided to call it as
“Jupiter”.
Granny squares need no introduction.
Granny squares can be called as basic building blocks of
crochet. Any beginner in crochet would definitely try their hands on granny
squares first. Traditionally granny squares are worked in rounds and alternate
sets of double stitches and chain stitches but solid granny square is also
famous variation. Now you get to see all sorts of variation though.
So speaking of "Jupiter", this square uses reverse puff stitch
and reverse single crochet to create texture pattern, a bit challenging to work
in a reverse gear but worth the effort plus once you get a hang of it, it’s
easy and doesn’t take much time.
This is a simple solid granny square with just a bit of extra texture. I have created a pattern pdf which includes a photo tutorial too..!!

By the way, did you know that scientists use Jupiter's intense gravity to hurl spacecraft into the outer region of the solar system, the process sometimes known as "gravity assist".
So today's WoW (Words of Wisdom) is taken from Contact by Carl Sagan, one of my all-time favorite..
That's all for today my dear yarnians...!!
Hope you are enjoying my posts..😀
Be Kind and happy crocheting...!
